On 23 September 2026 NVIDIA published its recap of AI Day Singapore on the company blog. In the section on partners across Southeast Asia building region-specific AI on the open Nemotron models, OpenThai 2.0 Legal is named.

A Thai Jev is here! An open-source model by the OpenThai team, named OpenThai-SystemOne.
Five days after TypeSafe launched Jev (a "System One model" that generates no text but answers decisions with probabilities in one pass), the OpenThai team has released an open-source version for Thai + English.
Today we are publishing the weights for OpenThai 2.0 (openthai2.0-qwen3.8-27b), a 27B model released under Apache 2.0 and free to download from Hugging Face for research and commercial use alike.
What sets it apart is not any single score. It is that three capabilities live in one set of weights — reading Thai documents and handwriting, answering questions about Thailand, and calling tools as an agent — with no separate OCR stage and no handoff between systems.
